Tsunemitsu was a local power in [[Iwami province]] and originally a vassal of the [[Amako clan|Amako]]. He defected to the [[Mori clan|Môri]] in [[1563]], after [[Amako Haruhisa|Amako Haruhisa's]] death. Tsunemitsu held Yamabuki, which was important to control of the Iwami silver mines.
