Giasessei shônin was a Buddhist monk, known for his role in the [[1187]] establishment of the [[Kagoshima]] temple [[Jokomyo-ji (Kagoshima)|Jôkômyô-ji]].
He was the second son of [[Hiki Yoshikazu]], and a nephew of [[Tango no tsubone]] (mother to [[Shimazu Tadahisa]], who ordered the temple built).
