Song Ziyan was a [[Qing Dynasty]] painter.
Originally from [[Zhejiang province]], he took up residence in [[Nagasaki]] in [[1758]]. There, he studied with [[Shen Nanpin]], and is said to have been particularly talented at producing [[bird-and-flower paintings]] with elements of Western realism.
Song's students included [[So Shiseki|Sô Shiseki]].
Song died in Nagasaki on [[1760]]/7/3.
