The Chûjindô was a family shrine holding [[mortuary tablets]] (J: ''ihai'') of the [[Sai family]], one of the prominent [[scholar-aristocracy of Ryukyu|scholar-aristocratic]] families of the [[Ryukyu Kingdom|Ryûkyû Kingdom]].
The shrine was located in [[Kumemura]], and a poor house for impoverished relatives of the Sai family, known as Dôyashichi (J: ''Dô-yashiki''), was nearby.
