Mô Kenryû was a [[scholar-aristocracy of Ryukyu|Ryukyuan scholar-official]] and court musician.
He was named a ''gakudôji'' (teenage music & dance performer for the court) in [[1664]], and in [[1669]] was appointed to oversee rehearsals and preparations otherwise for the ''[[uzagaku]]'' musicians who were to [[Ryukyuan embassies to Edo|travel to Edo]] in [[1671]] - this post was called at that time ''zagaku shinan bugyô''.
