Chén Kǎn was a [[Ming Dynasty]] scholar-official who served as the leader of a [[Chinese investiture mission]] to the [[Ryukyu Kingdom|Ryûkyû Kingdom]] in [[1534]]. He later wrote the ''[[Shi liuqiu lu|Shǐ liúqiú lù]]'' (使琉球錄, J: ''Shi Ryûkyû roku'') as a formal record and report from his mission.
