The former prefectural offices, or capitol building, of [[Hokkaido|Hokkaidô]], located in [[Sapporo]], are today designated an [[Important Cultural Property]]. The building, in red brick in a style drawing upon American and Second Empire (French) styles, was originally completed in [[1888]].
