The Ômori of [[Sagami province]] were originally from [[Suruga province]]. They claimed descent from [[Fujiwara Michiie]] and were established by [[Omori Yoriie|Ômori Yoriie]]. [[Uesugi Zenshu]] gave them [[Odawara castle]] in the 15th Century and by the opening of the 16th Century they were important retainers of the [[Uesugi clan|Uesugi]]. They lost Odawara to [[Hojo Soun|Hôjô Sôun]] and afterwards became [[Hojo clan|Hôjô]] vassals.
