So, who was Ôishi Kuranosuke? Rather than starting with talking about how he comes off better or worse than Asano Naganori, the article needs to start with "Kuranosuke was... the leader of the 47 Ronin" or "Kuranosuke was one of the 47 Ronin" or whatever is most accurate and informative. This was gleaned from our 47 Ronin Discussion group (where everyone DID know who Kuranosuke was and the story of the Ronin), and it was always the intention to add more straightforward biographical information to the article-but time and other commitments being what they are, it hasn't happened. Feel free to add any biographical detail as you see fit.
