Katsusuke became one of [[Takeda Katsuyori|Takeda Katsuyori's]] closest advisors and is well-known (or perhaps infamous) for supporting Katsuyori's decision to attack the [[Oda clan|Oda]] and [[Tokugawa clan|Tokugawa]] at [[Battle of Nagashino|Nagashino]] in [[1575]]. He assisted Katsuyori in his later campaigns and committed suicide after the Oda invaded [[Kai province|Kai]] and [[Shinano province|Shinano]] in [[1582]].
