Nobuyasu was a younger brother of [[Oda Nobuhide]] and held [[Inuyama castle]] in [[Owari province]]. He fought in the [[First Battle of Azukizaka]] ([[1542]]) against the [[Imagawa clan|Imagawa]] and later that year accompanied Nobuhide on campaign against the [[Saito clan|Saitô]] of [[Mino province]]. There he was killed in a night raid launched by [[Saito Dosan|Saitô Dosan]]. His son [[Oda Nobukiyo|Oda Shimotsuke no kami Nobukiyo]] was to have a falling out with [[Oda Nobunaga|Nobunaga]] and fled Owari, eventually taking up with the [[Takeda clan (Kai)|Takeda]] of [[Kai province|Kai]].
