Chûzan was one of three kingdoms which controlled [[Okinawa]] in the [[14th century]]. Based at [[Urasoe]], between [[Hokuzan]] to the north and [[Nanzan]] to the south, it was the wealthiest and most powerful of the three kingdoms on the island.
