Nobumasu was a younger brother of [[Oda Nobunaga]] and a well-known tea-master. He entered the service of [[Toyotomi Hideyoshi|Hideyoshi]] following Nobunaga's death and he later supported [[Tokugawa Ieyasu]] during the [[Sekigahara Campaign]] ([[1600]]), and led some 450 men at the battle. He joined the defenders of [[Osaka castle]] in [[1614]], though he survived the siege and retired from active life. He died in Kyoto on the 13th day of the 12th month of 1621.
