Former Hokkaido Prefectural Capitol

The former prefectural offices, or capitol building, of Hokkaidô, located in Sapporo, are today designated an Important Cultural Property. The building, in red brick in a style drawing upon American and Second Empire (French) styles, was originally completed in 1888.
