Chinen Sekko

Chinen Sekkô was a prominent figure in the development of Okinawan classical music.

A student of Yakabi Chôki, Chinen expanded on Yakabi's work on musical notation, creating an early form of the kunkunshi that remains today the standard form of sanshin tablature.
