Kawagoe castle Honmaru Goten

Kawagoe castle is located in Kawagoe city. The castle was constructed by Ôta Dôshin and Ôta Dôkan. In 1457, Uesugi Mochitomo moved to Kawagoe castle from Senpa.

There were 16 buildings in the late Edo period but most were demolished in Meiji period and only a part of the Honmaru remains today.
