These tea making utensils belonged to Hideyoshi and are the real thing. The bowl on the left is a Ming from China. The priest actually used these items when preparing tea for us! Nagaeyari—eat (or drink) your heart out!

When Sakamoto Ryoma was ambushed by Bakufu forces in the Teradaya, he used a six-shot revolver to blast his way to freedom down the back stairs from his second story room. Sakamoto's aim was a bit off that night and lodged a slug in the wood work.
