Ryu Descriptions
What kind of description you want us to give kenjutsu and so on? You want to keep it brief (aka dictionnary desc.)or go as deep as possible? It's pretty much impossible to give a record history or origin of those disciplines. Baian
- Best case would be a history, however brief, even if it is just who developed it and when, and what clan they were associated with, or what province, and then a short description of what the style entails, or what makes it "different" from others. Beyond that, I'm not much of an expert, but that's my best guess - so it might be useful to get more input at the task force talk page. --Kitsuno 19:48, 24 November 2006 (PST)
The priorities on the taskforce page are kenjutsu, naginatajutsu, etc. I wasn't referring to any ryu-ha in particular. What I meant is do you want a description of what is kenjutsu (and the others) itself? As in kenjutsu is the displine of the sword practice in various ryuha, blah blah blah.... Not sure if my question is clear. --Baian
- Ah, I see - for something like "Kenjutsu" I would assume we'd be able to build a fairly large article (although it would be general, like "Ninjutsu", "Karate", etc.), a description of what it is, what it means, examples, the history, maybe even contemporary Kenjutsu as well. It is a type of discipline, so there should be a lot of info on it. I'm up for more input, so I'll post a question on the task force page as well. --Kitsuno 20:30, 24 November 2006 (PST)
