• 1569/1 The Miyoshi attack Ashikaga Yoshiaki at the Honkokuji in Kyoto.
• 1569/4 Luis Frois meets with Oda Nobunaga in Kyoto.
• 1569/8 Yamanaka Shikanosuke clashes with Môri forces in Izumo province.
• 1569/9 Shimazu Yoshihisa takes Oguchi castle in Ôsumi from the Hishikari.
• 1569/9 Chosokabe Motochika defeats the Aki clan of Tosa and begins his efforts to take all of Shikoku.

• 1569/10 Môri and Ôtomo forces clash near Hakata in Chikuzen province.
• 1569/11 Takeda Shingen surrounds Odawara castle in Sagami; around a week later Shingen retreats and in the process defeats a Hôjô army at the Battle of Mimasetoge.
• 1569/11 Oda Nobunaga defeats Kitabatake Tomonori of Ise and forces him to submit; soon after he abolishes Ise's toll barriers.

• 1569/11/23 Hojo Ujimasa repairs Odawara castle.
• 1569/12 Môri Motonari withdraws his army from Chikuzen province.
