"Yoshinobu becomes Shogun" was 1866/12/5 wasn't it? --Shikisoku 16:12, 21 December 2012 (PST)

It was 12th month, 5th day by the lunar calendar, which puts it in early January of 1867 by the Western calendar (a lot like the 1702/1703 dates for the 47 Ronin's attack). I'm not sure exactly what method we've been using here to deal with the different year dates-any input, Meth?--Tatsunoshi

I don't see meaning to move only certain events to the Western calendar while most of events are the Lunar calendar.--Shikisoku 14:53, 24 December 2012 (PST)
