Niiro Tadamoto (under the command of Shimazu Yoshihisa) (5,000) vs. Toyotomi Hideyoshi (170,000)

This was the last engagement in Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s Kyushu Campaign and was highlighted by a suicidal Shimazu charge and a one-on-one duel between Niiro Tadamoto and Kato Kiyomasa. Kato won but spared Niiro’s life.
