Moritomo was an important [[Takeda clan|Takeda]] retainer and the son-in-law of [[Yamagata Masakage]]. Moritomo was an important Takeda retainer and the son-in-law of Yamagata Masakage. He fought at Mimasetoge (1569), Mikatagahara (1573), and was killed at Nagashino in 1575 in the same Oda/Tokugawa raid that killed Takeda Nobuzane.
