1630, Kawai Matagoro killed Watanabe Kazuma's brother in Okayama. Matagoro's father let Matagoro go off to Edo and had Hatamoto Ando Jiemon, Kuze Sanshiro to hide him. Lord of Okayama Ikeda Tadao demanded to hand him over but they refused. It developed confrontation between Okayama han and Hatamoto. When Tadao died, he left a will which asked to defeat Matagoro. Finally Bakufu ordered the Hatamoto to release Matagoro.
