:Ah, I see - for something like "Kenjutsu" I would assume we'd be able to build a fairly large article (although it would be general, like "Ninjutsu", "Karate", etc.), a description of what it is, what it means, examples, the history, maybe even contemporary Kenjutsu as well. It is a type of discipline, so there should be a lot of info on it. I'm up for more input, so I'll post a question on the task force page as well. --[[User:Shogun|Kitsuno]] 20:30, 24 November 2006 (PST) | :Ah, I see - for something like "Kenjutsu" I would assume we'd be able to build a fairly large article (although it would be general, like "Ninjutsu", "Karate", etc.), a description of what it is, what it means, examples, the history, maybe even contemporary Kenjutsu as well. Ryu Descriptions
What kind of description you want us to give kenjutsu and so on? You want to keep it brief (aka dictionnary desc.)or go as deep as possible? It's pretty much impossible to give a record history or origin of those disciplines. Baian
- Best case would be a history, however brief, even if it is just who developed it and when, and what clan they were associated with, or what province, and then a short description of what the style entails, or what makes it "different" from others. Beyond that, I'm not much of an expert, but that's my best guess - so it might be useful to get more input at the task force talk page. --Kitsuno 19:48, 24 November 2006 (PST)
The priorities on the taskforce page are kenjutsu, naginatajutsu, etc. I wasn't referring to any ryu-ha in particular. What I meant is do you want a description of what is kenjutsu (and the others) itself? As in kenjutsu is the displine of the sword practice in various ryuha, blah blah blah.... Not sure if my question is clear. --Baian

Users that need to be blocked
I looked through a section of the userlist to see what users had not followed the directions, and here's a partial list of those that need to be blocked: user:Xm4514, User:XXVII, User:Wolfpanzer, User:Windwalker, User:Wild tiger, User:Wild falcon, User:Vergo, User:Vartal, User:Vamo20, User:Tudeski, User:Toshu, User:Tokyodog, User:Toho, User:Thralls, User:The samurai, User:TIKIDIXY, User:Sweet.thang77, User:Sverv, User:Suki, User:Stretch4859, User:StreetsSamurai, User:Slevin, User:Sleepy, User:ShowGun, Nagaeyari 10:00, 11 January 2007 (PST)
- I've added the contributor access controls, so rather than blocking users, you just need to update the verification stuff on the front page and make sure all the people who are already contributing get set up so they can continue doing so. Random people that sign up can be effectively ignored, since they can't do anything but read. --Kryo 11:20, 16 January 2007 (PST)
Manga
I created a Manga subcategory to Fiction Books and posted a test article. Looking through the books that have been added so far, there does not seem to be an established format for publication information. Has an official decree about this been made? Ashigaru 20:43, 23 January 2007 (PST)
- The Vagabond article has been moved to Vagabond (Manga) as requested. I'll continue using the same citation format. The reason I asked was because shikisoku uses a bulleted format not used by other folks. Ashigaru 22:19, 23 January 2007 (PST)
Woops..
Sorry, wrong ref. I grabbed a random bio this morning for the layout and it just happened to be the one wrong!
