Matsura Kotau was a [[Kamakura period]] member of the [[Matsura clan]] of [[Hirado]]. He is known for participating in fighting off the first of the [[Mongol invasions]] in [[1274]] at [[Hakata]], and fighting off the second invasion in [[1281]] at [[Shikanoshima]].
