He joined [[Tokugawa Ieyasu]] after the death of [[Toyotomi Hideyoshi]] ([[1598]]) and commanded 900 men for him at the [[Sekigahara Campaign|Battle of Sekigahara]] ([[1600]]). He fought ferociously at the Seiges of Osaka Castle ([[1614]]; [[1615]]) and is reported to have personally taken 57 heads.
