Shô In was the second son of [[Sho Tai|Shô Tai]], the last king of the [[Ryukyu Kingdom|Ryûkyû Kingdom]]. Born in [[1866]], he was named Prince Ginowan in [[1875]].<ref>"Giwan Chōho."
