''Uyagan'' are ancestral spirits worshipped in the Karimata region of [[Miyako Island]]. On certain festival occasions, the spirits are said to come out from hiding in the mountains, and the people welcome them by dancing in a circle and singing a song of the gods (''fusa''), while wearing grass headdresses (''uika'') and holding grasses in their hands.
