- 1565/5/19 Ashikaga Yoshiteru, the 13th Ashikaga shogun, is forced to commit suicide when attacked in his palace by troops sent by Miyoshi Yoshitsugu and Matsunaga Hisahide.
- 1565/11 Môri Motonari besieges Gassan-Toda (Izumo province), the Amako headquarters.

- Môri Takamoto, Môri Motonari's heir, dies.
