Suetsugu Kozen was a notable [[red seal ships]] merchant active in the early 17th century.
Heir to a prominent [[Hakata]] merchant family, Suetsugu served as a local magistrate in [[Nagasaki]], while also undertaking trading trips to Tonkin, Quang Nam, Siam, Luzon, and Taiwan. His trading activities were supported by investments from as many as sixteen Nagasaki families.
