Arashiyama is a Noh play in which the deity of Mt. Yoshino and those of the mountain's cherry trees reveal themselves and dance.

The actor performing the role of the chief mountain deity wears a gold mask, white wig, and lavish costume with billowing folds of cloth, exaggerating his size and stage presence.
