Niwase han was a small [[han|domain]] within [[Bitchu province|Bitchû province]], based at a ''[[jin'ya]]'' erected within the ruins of the ''ni-no-maru'' of [[Niwase castle]], in what is today [[Okayama City]]. For the majority of the [[Edo period]], its lords were of the [[Itakura clan]].

The domain's territory included a series of villages along the [[San'yodo|San'yôdô]], running from Odahorikoshi village<!--小田堀越村--> in the east, to Higashi-Minari village<!--東三成村--> in the west.
