Yi Yulgok

Yi Yulgok was the Korean minister of war during the late 16th century. He was one of the few Koreans with the foresight to realize the possibility of Japanese invasion, and made recommendations for the defense of Korea in the event of an attack in 1583. However, his recommendations were ignored by the Korean court. He would later be proven correct with the Korean Invasions devised and executed by Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
