Hidenari was a son of [[Oda Nobumitsu]] and was married to a younger sister of [[Oda Nobunaga]]. He held [[Obata castle|Obata (or Kobata) castle]] in [[Owari province]]. A veteran of campaigns against the [[Asai clan|Asai]] and [[Asakura clan|Asakura]], he was killed in the fighting at [[Nagashima]] in 1574.
