Yoshikatsu served [[Oda Nobunaga]] and won a name for himself by taking the head of [[Imagawa Yoshimoto]] at the [[Battle of Okehazama]]. He was assisted in this by [[Hattori Haruyasu]], who was badly injured in the incident and died shortly afterwards. Yoshikatsu went on to serve Nobunaga as an attendant and orderly. In [[1582]], immediately following the death of Nobunaga at the hands of [[Akechi Mitshuhide]], Yoshikatsu was killed fending off [[Akechi clan|Akechi]] troops at [[Nijo palace|Nijô]].
