His rebellion did not go as planned, but he managed to escape to [[Etchu province|Etchû province]] and took up service with [[Takeda Shingen]] around [[1563]]. He led troops under the command of [[Yamagata Masakage]] and was loyal to the [[Takeda clan|Takeda]] to the end in [[1582]].
