Chen Wendi (r. 559-566) was one of the few successful emperors of the state of [[Southern Chen]]. Succeeding his uncle, [[Emperor Wu of Chen]], who founded the dynasty, Wendi consolidated the kingdom's territory, and expanded it by seizing lands from claimants to the throne of [[Liang]].
