Kim Jong-seo was a Korean scholar-official in service to the [[Joseon Dynasty]]. The son of an army official, he is known for his role in developing six military camps on the kingdom's borders. However, he also played a significant role in the compilation of the ''[[History of Goryeo]]'' (''Goryeosa''), and ''Abridged History of Goryeo'' (''Goryeosa Jeoryo'').
