Fenggan, known as Bukan in Japanese, was a legendary [[Zen|Ch'an]] (Zen) monk often depicted in [[Zen paintings]] sleeping with a tiger he has befriended.

Based at the temple Guoqing-si on [[Mt. Tiantai]], he is also often depicted alongside [[Hanshan and Shide]] (J: Kanzan and Jittoku).
