Wakasa no Tsubone was a daughter of Hiki Yoshikazu, wife of Shogun Minamoto no Yoriie, and mother to Minamoto Ichiman and Take no gozen.
She was killed in 1203 as the Hôjô clan launched a series of attacks on her family, the Hiki clan. Her father Yoshikazu and son Ichiman were killed in the same attacks; her daughter Take no gozen survived and went on to marry shogun Kujô Yoritsune.
