Posthumous name

The account I edited said "was buried on buddhism of the traditions, got posthumous name Dyuryo-man yan Genjui-koji. The romaji is obviously messed up. Does anyone know what the kanji are? Bethetsu

Date & Footnote Question

I'm a bit confused about the date footnote - where does the "May 12" come in? Is that western, eastern, or what? There are 2 other dates given, but it isn't clear what it what. --Kitsuno 13:32, 2 October 2006 (PDT)

Hm. And on the newly revised footnote, I am curious if it is unknown to scholarship whether he was using Gregorian or Julian, or if it is simply unknown to us here at S-A based on the sources we've looked at. LordAmeth 03:38, 11 July 2007 (PDT)
It is not clear in the source I used for the statement-- an excerpt in They Came to Japan from a letter Adams wrote his wife. Did you read Samurai William? He might discuss the date problem there since presumably the date problem would have come up handing the materials.
If you read it, you could add it to the page as "Other Reading," or, better still, write some more and add the book as a source.--Bethetsu 18:33, 11 July 2007 (PDT)

Source question

This source: Kôjien [Dictionary] - is there anything more to it - publisher, date, anything?

If you click the link, it comes up. --Kitsuno 00:52, 12 July 2007 (PDT)
