Song Di was a [[Song Dynasty]] scholar-official and painter, credited with establishing a particular set of themes or motifs which later became the singular standard set of "[[Eight Views of Xiao and Xiang|Eight Views of the Xiao and Xiang Rivers]]," an extremely popular and long-standing theme for painters and poets throughout East Asia.

Sadly, none of Song Di's paintings are known to survive.
