Misato ueekata Ankô was a Ryukyuan scholar-aristocrat who served as gakudôji on the 1842 Ryukyuan embassy to Edo.

He was a descendant of Aragusuku ueekata Mô Ryûken, and member of the esteemed Mô lineage of arts experts. He served as a dancer for the reception of Chinese investiture envoys in 1837, at age 10, and in 1839 was appointed to serve as gakudôji (musician & dancer) on the 1842 mission to Edo. At that time, his title was Takebaru satunushi. A fan inscribed with his calligraphy is still held today by the honjin at Futagawa-juku, a post-station in Aichi prefecture.[1]

He was later promoted in rank from Takebaru satunushi to Misato ueekata.
