Katsura Imperial Villa

The Katsura Imperial Villa is a secondary imperial palace and gardens on the outskirts of Kyoto, established in 1620. It briefly became the primary, temporary, imperial residence following a fire at the Kyoto Imperial Palace on 1854/4/6.
