Giasessei shônin was a Buddhist monk, known for his role in the 1187 establishment of the Kagoshima temple Jôkômyô-ji.

He was the second son of Hiki Yoshikazu, and a nephew of Tango no tsubone (mother to Shimazu Tadahisa, who ordered the temple built).
