Mugaku Sogen



Mugaku Sogen was a Chinese monk who fled to Japan as a refugee from Mongol rule in southern China. He was the Zen master of Regent Hojo Tokimune, as well as the founder of the Enkaku-Ji Temple, which was founded in 1282.
